About Us

Founded in 1993, Emergency Care Training (ECT) started by selling specialized first aid kits and equipment for schools, homes and sports organisations in Hong Kong. In January 1995, ECT conducted the inaugural standard first aid course of the National Safety Council (USA) in Hong Kong. NSC first aid courses were quickly accepted by the non-Chinese speaking community in Hong Kong. ECT set up a NSC training site at the Caritas Medical Centre-Resuscitation Centre to help expand the training programs further into the local community. In 1999, ECT became the first International Training Centre (ITC) of the American Heart Association in Hong Kong. Courses included Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. ECT helped the Caritas Medical Centre- Resuscitation Centre and the College of Emergency Medicine to establish their AHA training centres. In 2016, ECT became a full training centre of Emergency Care and Safety Institute. Courses in Sports First Aid, Wilderness First Aid and Pet First Aid are offered. A Putonghua Group, named ECT-SZ, was established on 4th May 2016. The aim is to promote First Aid and Resuscitation skills in China.
